My racing experiences, training plans and other good intentions

The aim of this site is to track my progress as I plan, train and race in mountain bike races in various categories and in fact countries, whether it's for fun or a little more serious only time will tell. Hopefully this site will give me some record of my progress, something to look back on in years to come with fond memories. Hopefully others might learn something from it too.

2009 Goals

Outstanding

  • Train consistantly, identify a good quality training routine, successfully monitor progress and improvement
  • Maximum of 1 minute pit stops during endurance races
  • When choosing races focus on shorter, faster cross country races rather than the longer endurance races, to improve speed
  • Practise low speed skill and balance when out on the trails

Missed

  • Set 2 Rise: ride for full 12 hours, one minute breaks only and no long food breaks as in 2008
    Car problems stopped me from attending another race
  • TwentyFour/12: Finish in the top 25% in the Torchbearer Mens Pairs category
